Academic Position (Early Postdoc) (full-time, E 13 TV-L)

Reference No. 2024/120. The starting date is October 1st, 2024. The positions are available until September 30th, 2027 (36 months). The position is divisible in principle.

The University of Konstanz is one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany. Since 2007 it has been successful in the German Excellence Initiative and its follow-up programme, the Excellence Strategy.

The position is located at the graduate program Post-Eurocentric Europe: Narratives of a World Province in Transformation, Department of Literature, Art and Media studies. Members of the graduate school are expected to be present on site during the semester.

Your tasks

• Elaboration of a post-doctoral research project in the thematic field of the graduate school (you find the research programme via this link)

Your profile

• A doctoral degree with excellent grades in the field of literature und cultural studies (German, English or Romance studies, cultural anthropology), in history, political science, law or in another discipline relevant for the research subject of the graduate program
• Willingness to engage in interdisciplinary cooperation
