About the employer

The "Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung" calls the Ilmenau University of Technology a "jewel in the East". And the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" claims that it is "one of the most innovative scientific institutions in Europe among specialists". Praise that the Ilmenau scientists prove time and again with top achievements in research: They are constructing a new scale for the new kilogram - they are developing designer molecules that fight cancer - and they are researching the autonomous car of the future.

From TU Ilmenau's mission statement from 2021: "TU Ilmenau stands for teaching and research at the highest level in the fields of technology, mathematics and natural sciences, business and media. It attaches particular importance to innovative teaching and interdisciplinarity. It identifies with Humboldt's ideals and pursues the vision of a cosmopolitan campus family".
