Software Engineering Research Group at the Department of Computing, University of Turku, is recruiting one fixed-term Senior researcher for the “Dining Flow” project funded by Business Finland. The position is full-time. The person selected for the position is expected to start the work as soon as possible by mutual agreement. The position is fixed-term and ends on 30 June 2025, with a possibility for extension.
In the Dining Flow project, we research ways to enhance the experiences of diners and kitchen personnel in Self Service Restaurants (SSR). Simultaneously, we aim that dining is overall more sustainable (i.e. reduce food waste and save energy) by deploying technology and utilizing diverse types of data to build decision making tools to make more informed decisions. The restaurant where the research mostly takes place is the living lab of Flavoria.
To achieve the goals of the Dining Flow project, we now search for a new team member to join our group with the following profile: A Senior researcher specialized in data analytics to help us gather information from Flavoria and its surroundings across different sources, and to analyze and make predictions based on data.
