We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student working in evidence-based conservation of biodiversity, starting 1.02.2025.

As a member of the Conservation Biology Lab, you will develop research focusing on specific target groups depending on the candidate's preferences and experience. In return, we offer an engaging research environment committed to bridging the gap between academic research and practical conservation action. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of teaching activities in conservation biology at bachelor and master levels at the University of Neuchatel.

The 4-year project is fully funded by the University of Neuchâtel. Salary and social benefits follow the rules of the University of Neuchâtel.

Selection criteria:

  • A Master's degree or equivalent in Biodiversity conservation or nature management
  • Experience with field methods of biodiversity monitoring
  • Proficiency in GIS and/or statistics
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
