YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you ready to lead groundbreaking research in advanced technologies and shape the future of innovation? Join our Heterogeneous Integration Technologies team in Villach, Austria. You are going to address cutting-edge challenges in designing and optimizing electronics-based systems through modeling and simulations and be part of international projects with market-leader industrial partners.

Your tasks will include:

  • Drive analytical and numerical modelling, data analysis and programming for advanced packaging technologies.
  • Focus on multi-domain modelling of electronics-based systems through advanced coupled simulations using ANSYS.
  • Carry out material testing and laboratory activities to develop and refine simulation parameters.
  • Manage exciting projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Participate in dissemination activities by publishing research results and presenting at international conferences.
  • Support of the project acquisition and thereby being constantly involved in the pushing future research topics.

YOUR PROFILE

  • PhD in Physics, Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Knowledge of continuum mechanics and finite element modelling with practical experience of commercial finite element software, preferably ANSYS.
  • More than four years in R&D with a focus on modelling and simulation, with a strong emphasis on materials science, testing and modelling for simulation.
  • Experience in reduced order modelling, machine learning, artificial intelligence and system simulation is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record in project acquisition and excellent client communication.
  • Fluent in English; German language skills an advantage.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexible and enthusiastic about tackling diverse issues.
  • A lifelong learner with a passion for innovation.
  • Willing and able to relocate to the charming city of Villach, Austria.

This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for employees in non-university research (Research CA) starting in occupational group F (F1 salary = EUR 4.594,- paid 14 times a year) based on 38,5 hours per week). For this position we offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your experience and qualifications, starting with a minimum gross salary of EUR 70.000 (annual, based on an All-in contract and bonus).
