In September 2023, the Suzhou Campus of Nanjing University was officially inaugurated. Open Positions
We are seeking to recruit outstanding scholars across all career stages, from early-career researchers to internationally recognized academic leaders. Positions are available at the following levels:
• Chair Professor
• Distinguished Professor
• Tenured Professor / Tenured Associate Professor
• Tenure-Track Associate Professor / Tenure-Track Assistant Professor
• Vice Dean (Leadership Roles in New Schools)

Qualifications
Candidates will be considered for appointment at different academic ranks based on their achievements and experience:
Chair Professor
• Internationally recognized academic leaders with outstanding scholarly achievements
• Recipients of major international academic awards
• Members of national academies or equivalent prestigious institutions worldwide
• Currently holding (or previously held) a chaired professorship at a leading university

Distinguished Professor
• Established scholars holding a full professorship or equivalent position at a leading university or research institution
• Alternatively, senior technical leaders from globally recognized companies with significant innovation impact

Tenured Professor / Tenured Associate Professor
• Scholars holding an associate professorship or above at internationally recognized universities or research institutions
• Alternatively, experienced professionals with senior technical roles in leading global companies

Tenure-Track Associate Professor / Tenure-Track Assistant Professor
• PhD in a relevant field
• Demonstrated research excellence and strong potential for future development
• Experience in academic, research, or industrial R&D environments

Vice Dean (Leadership Roles in New Schools) 
The Vice Dean positions are open for the School of Robotics and Automation, School of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering, and School of Biomedical Engineering. 
Candidates are expected to meet the following requirements:
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of higher education, uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, and serve as both an outstanding scholar and a role model.
• Have achieved internationally recognized academic excellence in their respective research field, with a strong reputation and significant scholarly impact.
• Align with Nanjing University’s values and educational philosophy, with a deep understanding of higher education and talent development, and demonstrate strategic vision, innovation, and leadership.
• Possess substantial management experience and exceptional organizational and coordination skills, with a global perspective and a proven track record in discipline development and team building, and demonstrate strong insight into emerging technologies and evolving industry trends. Prior leadership experience (e.g., Dean, Department Chair, Institute Director) at leading universities or research institutions is highly desirable.
• Be in good physical and mental health, with the capacity and commitment to fully dedicate themselves to the responsibilities of the position throughout the appointment period.

Intelligence science and technology; intelligent networks and communications; integrated circuits; digital economy and management; sustainable energy and resources; atmospheric and earth system sciences; robotics and automation; advanced manufacturing engineering; biomedical engineering; science and technology for deep space exploration; space earth science; global humanities; global intellectual property; archaeology, museology and Chinese civilization; data management and innovation.
