Job Title: Post-Doctoral Fellow in Agronomy, Microbiology and Formulation Area of specialization: Agronomy, Soil science, Microbiology, Molecular Biology

Job/Project description:

The AgroBioSciences Program (AgBS) at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University is seeking a post-doctoral fellow in Agronomy, Microbiology and Formulation. The candidate will be responsible to ensure the progress of agronomic trials, microbes’ screening and inoculation, and formulation of the final products.

Main responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Collect the soil samples in different locations in Africa and ensure theirs physico-chemical and microbiological characterization
  • Plan and carry out greenhouse and experimental field trials in Africa
  • Microbial screening and identification
  • Ensure the formulation of the best combination of microbes based on the selected strain and mineral or organic matrix Co-supervise master and doctoral students
  • Publish results in high impact factor journals

Education, qualifications, and experience 

  • Ph.D. in Microbiology, Agronomy, soil sciences or related field
  • The applicant should have documented knowledge in microbes screening and identification, plant inoculation, greenhouse, and field trails, Microbial formulation. 
  • The applicant should have documented knowledge molecular techniques such as DNA extraction, sequencing, soil, and microbial ecology.
  • Good team members building.
  • A good publication record in international well-recognized journals and excellent communication skills in English are also a requirement Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High motivation and interest in scientific work
