To Aeres, learning is the engine for growth and change. We challenge (future) professionals to have a life long development of their competences and worth for employer or clients. We believe in a society which constantly develops the knowledge and skills needed for working sustainably with ‘life’.

Aeres vision

Dutch knowledge and skills within the green sector are trend-setting in the world. On international agenda’s themes like a viable environment and food security take top positions. Because of external developments, the complexity of and the need for knowledge and skills increases. This results in a constant innovating process which needs professionals who can take that kind of dynamics in their stride. By working together, learning organizations, entrepreneurial professionals and students can create worthwhile solutions for the future.

Each component has a matching set of mission and vision that focuses on the specific target group of that component. 

Faculty Dronten

The study programmes at Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Dronten, the Netherlands focus on the knowledge domains of agribusiness, food, horticulture and animal science. The programmes combine theoretical study with practical training. To prepare students for their future careers, a full-time traineeship in a middle management position is part of every course. 

Faculty Almere:

The Challenge: In 2050, 80% of the world's population will live in cities. How can we keep cities liveable?

As more people move to the city, this creates issues in terms of nature, liveability, and the supply of food, water and energy. Keeping expanding cities liveable requires knowledge. That's why we educate students around the themes of Food, Nature & Urban Green. The challenges are there - are you going to contribute to the solutions? 

Faculty Wageningen

The study programmes at Aeres University of Applied Sciences in Wageningen focus on teachers, trainers and extension specialists in Education and knowledge management. The programs train students in becoming professionals in the transfer of knowledge in the field of agriculture (agribusiness), horticulture (floral design and retail, landscaping and gardening), food technology, animal breeding and keeping. To prepare students for their future careers, a full-time traineeship in a middle management position is part of every course.
