Our department

Based within the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, this appointment will be part of the Faculty of Engineering’s multi-disciplinary approach to energy utilisation and supply. The successful applicant will interact with other Departments undertaking integrated energy systems engineering research. Applicants should have an energy engineering research track record, which may include: Building Environment- Quality, Comfort, Services and Functionality; Energy Demand- Supply analysis informing discrete energy management and demand control; Hybrid renewable/ clean energy supply systems engineering and operation; Energy buffering and storage; Hydrogen production, use and systems efficiency; and new energy vectors, network integration and interactions (Electricity, H2, etc).

* Your Fellowship will normally be at lecturer level (exceptionally, at senior lecturer (Grade 9) (£56,048 - £63,059) where you have a strong track record in research leadership) for 5 years, with the expectation that you’ll meet our promotion criteria within that period and be transferred to senior lecturer (or, where you’ve been appointed as a senior lecturer, Reader) level.
