The Research Unit of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacy, Department of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark (SDU), invites applications for a position as professor in clinical pharmacy and/or pharmacoepidemiology. The professorship is a tenure position starting September 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Research profile and tasks
The main task for the new professor will be to establish and head a group that can further strengthen research in the field of clinical pharmacy, clinical pharmacology and pharmacoepidemiology at SDU. A strong publication record and a strong record in raising external funding will be expected.
A research profile including clinical pharmacy and/or pharmacoepidemiology will be preferred.
The successful candidate must hold a MPharm, MD, PhD, or equivalent in pharmaceutical or medical sciences or in epidemiology or biostatistics, must have proven postdoctoral training, teaching, and supervising experience and must have demonstrated significant research through publications. Applicants with research interests aligned to the existing research profile of the Research Unit will be preferred.
The teaching commitments will be within clinical pharmacy, clinical pharmacology, pharmacoepidemiology and biostatistics depending on the applicant’s specialties, and the successful applicant will be responsible for teaching of pharmacy and of medical students at the Faculty of Health Sciences. The candidate will be expected to mentor, supervise, and support graduate and PhD students, pursuing their Master’s and PhD degrees.
The candidate will be expected to possess teaching qualifications corresponding to those obtained as an associate professor.
