Salary £28762 to £32348 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering seeks two full-time Teaching Assistants to join our leading EEE Department, where they will contribute to and support a wide range of teaching activities. 

A significant area of responsibility will be in supporting the project-based learning modules delivered to Year 1 and/or Year 2 EEE students. Within this element of the role, the successful applicants will be expected to work proactively and collaboratively within wider teams to deliver a stimulating laboratory learning experience for students. Primary duties within this aspect of the role will be to supervise project laboratories, while also providing support to students outside of these sessions, the development of both teaching and assessment materials, as well as marking and providing feedback on student work. 

The successful applicants will also support other EEE teaching activities, which may include the preparation and delivery of technical problem classes, developing and supporting coursework exercises and assessing student work. Finally, the successful applicants will also be expected to specify and then supervise projects suitable for final year undergraduate and MSc students.

This role is available on a permanent, full time (36.25 hour) basis. Job share arrangements may be considered.
