Fully funded PhD projects and PhD fellowships are available for highly competitive candidates with excellent qualifications and training, in the Yakoub Lab.
The Lab is looking for highly motivated candidates with outstanding academic accomplishments and the zeal for scientific discovery or curing devastating human diseases, such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, autism or COVID-19. Previous research experience and research skills and publications are preferred. The PhD student will endeavor to solve some of the biggest problems in science and medicine, using cutting-edge technologies, including CRISPR gene editing, stem cells, human brain organoids (“human mini-brains in a dish”) and
genetically engineered mouse models.
The Yakoub Lab is well-funded and boasts a deep mentoring culture and a visionary research program encompassing exciting projects testing revolutionary or paradigm-shifting ideas.
