About the role...

• Participate and contribute to different microbiome and cancer related projects and support them by technical assistance
• Develop new methods and techniques to address research questions
• Support with in vivo animal experiments (mandatory)
• Ensure scientific quality management and respect the rules of quality assurance
• Active participation in meetings
• Collection and analysis of data
• Help with the organization in the laboratory
• Participate in experiments within different microbiome and cancer related projects
• Collect, interpret, and analyse research related data and results
• Ensure proper scientific documentation (e.g. protocols, reports)
• Document performed experiments and analyses in a lab book
• Participate and present obtained data in meetings
• Participate in the generation of scientific reports
• Contribute to general tasks in the laboratory
• Contribute to cooperation with other research organisations

The activities can be subject to changes or adaptations if required by the project, the structure or the needs of the laboratory.

Your profile...

• Master's degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline
• Previous professional experience as a research technician or research and development engineer
• Experience with conducting animal/in-vivo experiments is required
• Experience in cell culture techniques, if possible, in 3D cell culture models (organoids, spheroids)
• Experience in molecular biology techniques such as real-time PCR, FACS analysis, Western blotting, imaging techniques are considered an advantage
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Skills in written and spoken English is required, knowledge in German or French is an asset
