The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) is a research centre for the study, analysis and public dissemination of contemporary history of Luxembourg and Europe with a particular focus on digital methods and tools for doing innovative historical research. It serves as a catalyst for innovative and creative scholarship and new forms of public dissemination and societal engagement with history.

Your Role...

Realize a PhD thesis in the history of psychiatry. You will be a member of the ANR-FNR research project "The mental health of migrants: actors, practices and networks (1950-1980, France, Switzerland, Germany)". In this framework, you should produce a PhD entitled provisionally "International epistemic communities (1945-1990s) – A transnational history of psychiatry of migration: theories, transfers and regulations".

What we expect from you…

  • M.A. in Contemporary History or Cultural Studies
  • Participation in collaborative and interdisciplinary research projects
  • Active knowledge of French, English and German.

The yearly gross salary for every PhD at the UL is EUR 38028 full time
