Your Role

The successful candidate will join the TruX research group, led by Prof. Tegawendé F. Bissyandé and Prof. Jacques Klein.  https://wwwfr.uni.lu/snt/research/trux

The position holder will be required to perform the following tasks/will do research on the following topics:

  • Contribute to the joint project “Towards accurate and unbiased natural language processing (NLP) for Europe – Building domain-specific multilingual models and enabling useable and explainable insights from text data for European decision-makers”.
  • Carry out research in the predefined areas following conventional doctoral research outline.
  • Disseminate results through scientific publications.
  • Present results in well-known international conferences and workshops.
  • Writing a thesis and the subsequent defence which will result in a doctoral degree.

Your Profile

Qualification:

  • Possession of M.Sc./M.Eng. degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field
  • Knowledge on NLP and machine learning, especially with respect to neural networks
  • Research skills
  • Proficiency in Python

Experience:

  • Some experience with NLP and machine learning

Language Skills: Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
