Your Role

This position is part of an industry partnership between SnT and Senacor Technologies. As a specialist for business IT transformations, Senacor shapes the IT of leading financial service providers and industrial companies with more than 600 employees. Together with their customers such as Deutsche Bank, BMW, Daimler, GLS and Deutsche Bahn, Senacor creates the basis for their business of tomorrow. For years, they have been one of the fastest-growing management consultancies in Germany.

Successful candidates will join a young, strong and motivated FINATRAX Research Group. The research group conducts research on the application and the impact of digital technologies like DLT/Blockchain, Digital Identities, Machine Learning/AI, and IoT/5G on organisations in the private or public sector. By doing so, it builds bridges between business research and information systems engineering. The group consists of doctoral and post-doctoral researchers who come from different disciplines (e.g., policy, business, technology) and pursue first-rate research on the design and impact of information systems in the automotive sector.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to pursue their PhD while gaining highly relevant practical experience and take the best of both worlds with our partner Senacor: Senacor’s network of experts helps candidates to validate their research while insights into current business issues promote a deeper understanding of future industry developments. Candidates will spend roughly half of their time with research and half of their time on consultancy projects in the automotive sector, which are thematically aligned with their doctorate.

They will combine practice and research by building first-hand experience in the following potential topics:

  • Hands-on industry experience in sales and pre-sales in – for example – the transformation of customer management, the introduction of omnichannel services, the development of finance and mobility solutions, and  the establishment of a product portfolio management
  • Insights into current & future trends and their impact on the industry, such as autonomous driving, connectivity, electrification & shared mobility (ACES) trends

  • The commitment to participate in the design and implementation of high-quality solutions that solve significant problems
  • A high interest in current strategic issues of relevant automotive companies and future trends in the industry
  • Self-initiative, creativity, curiosity, flexibility and enthusiasm to work

Knowledge and/or experience in related areas (e.g., sales/aftersales in the automotive sector, digital transformation) will be appreciated but are not a requirement to apply.

Language Skills: Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English & German are required. Knowledge of either French or Luxembourgish will be appreciated but are not a requirement to apply.
