Your Role

The successful candidate will join a strong and motivated research team lead by Prof. Radu State to carry out research to pursue a PhD on the following topic:

  • Security of Decentralized Finance in Ethereum blockchain

The successful candidate will closely work with industry, specifically with Quantstamp.

The position holder will be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Contribute to the project “Securing DeFi Implementations” in collaboration with Quantstamp as industrial partner
  • Carrying out research in the predefined areas
  • Disseminating results through scientific publications
  • Present results in well-known international conferences and workshops
  • Assisting in organization of relevant workshops
  • Join the team activities and meetings
Your Profile

Qualifications: The candidate should possess an MSc degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Applied Mathematics.

Experience: The ideal candidate should have some knowledge and experience in a number of the following topics:

  • Software engineering
  • Software verification (static and dynamic)
  • Ethereum blockchain and smart contract

and be familiar with the principles of:

  • Blockchain security and auditing
  • Decentralized Finance

The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and programming skills. We are looking for someone who is curiosity driven and who wants to constantly learn new things. Development skills in Solidity would be considered an advantage.

Language Skills: Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
