For a project in collaboration with two companies in the nuclear medicine sector as well as the GIGA-CRC of the University of Liège, the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry (LCAP) of the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Medicines (CIRM) of the University of Liège (ULiege) is looking for a highly motivated researcher candidate.
The candidate must have a Master in Bioengineering, Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a strong interest in analytical chemistry. Candidates already owner of a PhD in these disciplines are also welcomed. The candidate must be familiar with experimental testing in the framework of chromatography and more especially in liquid chromatography (ion exchange chromatography, reversed-phased chromatography, …). Good skills in system design would be an asset. Candidates must be proficient in oral and written English, have excellent communication skills, multi-tasking skills, be team-oriented, proactive and results driven. The candidate will work as a member of a GMP-certified laboratory that will involve rigorous behavior regarding the quality assurance system of the laboratory.
The candidate will develop an ion exchange chromatography method at low-medium pressure for the analysis of “cold” ammonia in order to set up an online, quick and integrated quality control (QC) equipment used for radiochemical purity analysis in the framework of the production of 13N-NH3. The developed method will be validated. The candidate will also contribute to the design / sourcing of the “low pressure” liquid chromatographic (LC) system (pump and detector), the integration of the LC system in a dispensing module of the labeled-ammonia as well as the design of the online pH measurement and design of consumable kit for online QC.
This research project is funded by the MecaTech cluster which is the competitiveness cluster in mechanical engineering of Wallonia. The consortium brings together industry and academia offering the opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary, dynamic environment at the forefront of the field. The position will be available from now for 2 years (1 + 1 year) and it does not lead to a doctoral thesis.
For further information about the position, please contact Dr. Cédric HUBERT by mail (email@example.com).
