As part of the interdisciplinary STRIVE project entitled “What narratives for ecological transformation? (Re)Thinking technosolutionist and apocalyptic imaginaries for a more sustainable society”, Dr. Estefania Amer and Prof. Stephanie Missonier are opening a full-time PhD position in Information Systems and Management to do research on sustainability and storytelling.
As part of your work, you will study narratives as part of the ecological transformation of society. Anchored in interdisciplinary research between Management, Information Systems, Sociology and Literature, the main objective will be to identify and (re)think the main narrative of the 'techno-solutionism' on ecological transformation. The candidate will have to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of specialists of human and social sciences.
85% of the assistant's time will be dedicated to the research for the doctoral thesis.
You are also required to carry out a complementary teaching and research support activity for UNIL representing an average monthly workload of 15%. For the teaching part, you will prepare and supervise exercises for bachelor courses, and you will supervise student projects.
The successful candidate is expected to enroll in the doctoral school in Information Systems at HEC Lausanne and will be supervised by Dr. Estefania Amer and Prof. Stephanie Missonier.
