The professorship is located in the Department of Education and Social Sciences of the Faculty of Human Sciences.
YOUR TASKS
The applicant represents the entire spectrum of educational migration research in research and teaching. The tasks include teaching in the school and non-school based Bachelor‘s and Master‘s degree programmes represented in the Department of Education and Social Sciences. The professorship contributes in particular to teaching in the Master‘s programme Intercultural Communication and Education and its organisation and profile-building. Collaboration in further development of the Mercator Institute would be desirable. Participation in the academic self- administration is obligatory.
YOUR PROFILE
Applicants have a profound expertise in the field of educational migration research, in a transnational comparative perspective, with a focus on at least two of the following research fields:
The focal points must be substantiated by outstanding research, third-party fund research and corresponding publications in national and international journals or peer-reviewed journals. Participation in the research activities of the department and the faculty, including the implementation of externally funded research projects, is expected.

The position is available at the earliest possible date. Formal requirements are detailed in Section 36 of the Higher Educa- tion Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz – HG NRW). As a rule, the teaching load comprises nine semester hours per week (i.e., two hours per week is one 90-minute course per semester).
