SIGNAL TRANSDUCTION AND METABOLISM LABORATORY
The Signal Transduction and Metabolism Laboratory led by Dr Esteban Gurzov is seeking highly motivated post-doctoral researchers to explore the pathophysiological mechanisms contributing to the development of obesity and liver dysfunction. The successful applicant will join the ULB Center for Diabetes Research (www.ulbcdiabres.com), characterised by an impressive track record in research excellence.
The project will take advantage of human iPSC, diabetes cell models, mouse models, pharmacological approaches and human liver specimens to determine the molecular mechanisms by which obesity drives the development of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and insulin resistance and explore novel approaches for combating the development of diabetes.
