The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking candidates for a tenure-track faculty position in the field of automatic control. The successful candidate will conduct high-impact research leveraging automatic control techniques to address complex challenges in process engineering. Their research will focus on modeling, observation, optimization, and control of systems to improve their performance and efficiency. Also, the candidate will develop methodologies that improve the understanding and operation of processes, thereby promoting more sustainable and economically viable industrial practices.

While establishing your research program, you will be supported in securing funding from government agencies and industry. You will also receive guidance in recruiting and supervising master’s and doctoral students.
Teaching activities at both undergraduate and graduate levels are conducted in French. Université Laval provides non-Francophone candidates with opportunities to learn and improve their French language skills during the first three years of employment.
