Euraxess research field: accounting, controlling, corporate finance
Expected skills:
Applicants must show a strong interest in teaching as well as a high-level scientific record in accordance with UGA’s ambitions and standard. They must identify with UGA’s values, that is, being open to the world, emphasising ethics and scientific integrity, showing an interest in teamwork and being committed to the community. They should also have a sense of responsibility, in particular with regards to environmental and social issues.
Teaching profile:
The successful candidate will teach at the Grenoble Faculty of Economics (Grenoble and Valence campuses) in the fields of accounting, financial analysis, management control, corporate finance, and the diagnosis and management of organizational performance. They will teach at master’s level, especially in the Economy of Organisations program and the Economic Engineering, Diagnosis and Performance Management program. They will also teach in the Bachelor in Economics and Management degree course.
The successful candidate will have to demonstrate an interest in (and be comfortable with) information systems, which they may be required to teach in the context of diagnosis and management of organizational performance.
They will be asked to supervise internships, dissertations and sandwich course assignments.
The successful candidate will take on responsibilities within the teaching team. They must be able to lead and take part in its activities, as well as contribute to the development of relations with socio-economic partners. They will particularly be involved in projects aimed at professionalizing students, such as internships and sandwich courses.
Furthermore, it is expected that the successful candidate has some experience with teamwork and enjoys working on shared projects, is proactive and able to propose innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning.
Research profile:

The successful candidate must be able to fit into one of the following CERAG research axes: (1) Responsible Behavior and Societal Issues; (2) Innovation and Organizational Complexity; (3) Anticipation and Risk Management. In line with its scientific orientation, the laboratory seeks to recruit a colleague who will conduct research focused on supporting environmental and social transitions: The laboratory is working to build a team of lecturers and researchers who place management science at the service of a socially and ecologically sustainable society.
Research in accounting, management control, corporate finance and performance management may cover topics such as: - The production, audit and use of financial and non-financial information. - Performance measurement through the prism of accounting, governance or finance. - Risk and uncertainty in specific contexts (complex social systems, small businesses, innovative companies, etc.) or environments (markets, health, agriculture, etc.). - Value creation for different stakeholders in organizations. - Changes in practices and professions, especially in relation to technological or professional innovations.
The successful candidate will play an active role in the development of CERAG's research axes and will develop and manage research projects at local, national and international levels. Interdisciplinary approaches in synergy with other human, social and engineering sciences are welcome. Similarly, research relationships with foreign teams will be considered as significant contribution to the laboratory.
Their research activities must lead to publications, in particular in high-impact journals in French and English.
They will be encouraged to participate in the laboratory's carbon footprint reduction team.
