At the Institute of Biomedical Electronics (Research Group Biomedical Sensing and Therapy) TU Wien is offering a position as university assistant (prae-doc), for expected 4 years, for 30 hours/week. Expected start: October 2023.

Tasks:

  • Research and project activity in the field of personalised neuromodulation of the vagus nerve (electric pill)
  • Collaboration on research and teaching tasks as well as examinations, especially in the field of Electrical Engineering
  • Cooperation and guidance of students
  • Writing a dissertation and publications
  • Participation in scientific events
  • Assistance/Collaboration in organizational and administrative tasks

Your profile:

  • Completion of a relevant master or diploma curriculum
  • Skills in scientific work
  • Advanced knowledge in the field of Biomedical Engineering, especially in the field of neuromodulation and biosignal analysis
  • Very good knowledge of English and German
  • Interest in research in the field as well as supervision and interactive work with students
  • Team competency, problem-solving skills, and the ability to innovate

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade B1 of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 2,458.00/month gross, 14 times/year for 30 hours/week. Relevant working experiences may increase the monthly income.
