The School is looking for high-calibre professionals for the post of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor in Environmental Health.
The appointees are expected to: 1) develop significant independent research projects; 2) participate in application for external competitive research grants; 3) publish papers in academic journals; 4) teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses; 5) mentor and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students; and 6) perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have a PhD degree with post-doctoral training in Public Health/ Environmental Health/ Exposure Science/ Bioinformatics/ Environmental Toxicology or a related discipline, with experience in studying public health in an environmental context. Applicants should have demonstrable evidence of research success (e.g. a good track record of research and publication in peer-reviewed journals), strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively as a member of an academic team, and an ability to deliver courses in English.
Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to three years initially commencing as soon as possible, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
