Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified individual to lead a new research group focused on the use of advanced Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI) approaches to study clinically relevant physiological targets. The project involves cutting-edge advancements in optics, image processing algorithms, and hardware design.

Key Responsibilities include the identification of pathological changes in selected organs using HSI, the design of HSI instruments with imaging capabilities tailored to different anatomical structures, integration of HSI with other imaging modalities, and the development of advanced algorithms and software for analysis of multidimensional HSI datasets.

Funding and Location: This position is part of a larger EU-funded ERA Chair project and is based at the Orbeli Institute of Physiology in Yerevan, Armenia.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in biomedical research.
  • Expertise in HSI technology and its medical applications.
  • Background in optics, and image processing.
  • Experience in customizing medical imaging instruments.
  • Capacity for interdisciplinary collaboration.
