Essential Job Duties | The Department of Forest Biomaterials at North Carolina State University is seeking candidates for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor with interest and experience in Biomaterials Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. The position is a 9-month appointment with Research (45%), Teaching (45%), and Service (10%) responsibilities. The successful candidate is expected to teach core classes in one of the largest and most successful paper science and engineering programs in the world. The candidate is also expected to develop a nationally and internationally recognized research program in the areas such as biomass characterization, biomass conversion, biorefinery process and product development, value-added biobased products and the sustainable bioeconomy.
