Position Identification

  • Job Title: Logistics Optimization and Environmental Resilience & Sustainability Integration Officer – JORF-Lasfar
  • Entities: GTI-UM6P / SBU Manufacturing – JORF-Lasfar
  • Work Location: GTI-UM6P and JORF-Lasfar site
  • Contract Type: Postdoctoral Position

Main Mission

The position holder will be responsible for designing and implementing an optimized, resilient, and sustainable logistics architecture for the JORF-Lasfar site. His/her work will focus on improving routing, storage, and loading flows, aiming to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and integrate innovative solutions. By leveraging advanced optimization tools and engineering methodologies, He/she will ensure the resilience of the supply chain against disruptions while minimizing its energy consumption and carbon footprint.

Activities and Responsibilities

Optimization and Improvement of Logistics Processes

  • Analyze routing, storage, and loading flows.
  • Identify optimization levers to reduce costs and lead times.
  • Develop strategies and risk management models to enhance the system’s resilience against logistical disruptions.
  • Implement energy management approaches and CO₂ emissions reduction strategies within the supply chain.
  • Design and implementation of an integrated and sustainable logistics architecture.
  • Monitor technological and methodological innovations in the industry.
  • Promote research and development findings through publications in high-impact Q1 scientific journals and indexed conferences.

Digitalization and Integration of Optimization Tools

  • Integrate the developed architecture into the JORF-Lasfar ERP system.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work closely with the SBU Manufacturing team at JORF-Lasfar and the GTI-UM6P team.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, optimization initiatives, and the integration of innovations.

Required Skills

Technical and Professional Skills

  • Excellent mastery of logistics processes and supply chain management.
  • Expertise in flow optimization and logistics management.
  • Data analysis and project management skills.
  • Strong understanding of optimization concepts and profitability.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental sustainability standards.
  • Experience with data prediction and classification techniques.

Computer Skills

  • Good proficiency with optimization tools (CPLEX, SAP).
  • Experience with data analysis software.

Soft Skills

  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and team collaboration.
  • Proactive attitude and innovative thinking.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in a similar role is appreciated.
  • Familiarity with methodologies such as Systems Engineering and SCRUM.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
