Position Dimension:

UM6P Canada aims to develop activities and lead projects at the heart of UM6P's strategic issues, where UM6P has strong expertise in supporting African economic and social development. This includes agriculture, mining, artificial intelligence, energy, renewable energy, and broader sustainable development topics. The implementation project of UM6P Canada is divided into four axes: developing doctoral research activities in Canada on topics where UM6P has strong expertise, developing an Executive Education activity, fostering innovation and creating start-ups in Canada on projects central to these strategic issues, and developing a consulting and service activity in its main areas of intervention.

The holder's mission is to organize and lead the Executive Education activity in its pedagogical, financial, administrative, and logistical aspects: defining the policy and development strategy of the department, building and coordinating UM6P Canada's Executive Education offering in collaboration with UM6P's Research, Scientific, and Technical departments.

Key Responsibilities:

In line with UM6P Canada's orientations and priorities, the Training Department Manager will:

• Gather and identify needs, define and propose policy and strategic orientations.
• Conduct educational engineering and design training, as well as research and identify the necessary instructors for training delivery, in collaboration with UM6P's Research, Scientific, and Technical departments; validate programs with experts.
• Oversee the complete management of the executive training program portfolio: project management of training programs, planning, implementation, supervision of all management stages, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Develop tailored offerings by conducting training needs analysis for UM6P Canada's clients and responding to tenders when applicable.
• Serve as the interface with clients.
• Develop the P&L of projects and ensure the financial profitability of programs.
• Plan, manage, and oversee the budget of the Executive Education department and report to general management.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, manage the certification processes (ISO 9001, QUALIOPI, etc.), and conduct mandatory educational and financial assessments.
• Contribute to communication and relationships with institutions and companies to enhance UM6P Canada's visibility and reputation as a training organization.
• Represent UM6P Canada with various private or public partners in the field of executive education.
• Actively monitor the training world: regulatory monitoring, technological watch (pedagogical methods, animation tools, etc.), competitive intelligence.

Context and Environment:

A developing market, the ecological transition, climate issues, and GHG reduction will have a massive impact on African economic and social development, necessitating skills development and talent pool construction in areas such as agriculture, mining, artificial intelligence, energy, sustainable development, and overall African development. UM6P Canada aims to become a major player in talent training in these areas.

Objectives:

Develop a high-level executive training offering in areas where UM6P has strong and differentiating expertise by proposing necessary programs in collaboration with various UM6P departments, such as schools/masters and research laboratories, and winning tenders in the aforementioned fields. Make UM6P Canada's expertise known and promoted.

Profile Sought:

• Higher education (Bachelor’s degree).
• At least 5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas: project management, development and management of continuing education programs in a leading higher education institution, consulting firm, or training organization; management of corporate training programs.
• Mastery of training engineering.
• Good knowledge of training legislation and certification systems.
• Good understanding of issues related to UM6P's areas of expertise in connection with African development.
• Excellent knowledge of the higher education and research sector in Canada.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
• Autonomy, rigor, organization, anticipation, and result orientation.
• Relational ease, transversal project management, ability to understand economic and strategic issues.
• Proficiency in training and development tools and technologies.
• Strong service orientation and team spirit required.
• Fluent in English and French.

UM6P Canada a pour objectif de développer des activités et mener des projets au cœur des enjeux stratégiques d’UM6P et dans lesquels UM6P possède une expertise forte en soutien du développement économique et social africain. Et notamment dans l’agriculture, les mines, l’intelligence artificielle, l’énergie et les énergies renouvelables ainsi que les sujets de développement durable au sens large.

Le projet d’implémentation d’UM6P Canada est décliné sur 4 axes : le développement d’une activité de recherche doctorale au Canada sur les sujets de recherche sur lesquels UM6P possède une expertise forte, le développement d’une activité d’Education Exécutive , le développement de l’innovation et de création de start-ups au Canada sur des projets au cœur de ces enjeux stratégiques, ainsi que le développement d’une activité de conseil et de prestations de service dans ses principaux domaines d’intervention. 

Le titulaire a pour mission d’organiser et de diriger l’activité Education Exécutive  dans ses aspects pédagogiques, financiers, administratifs et logistiques : définir la politique et la stratégie de développement du pôle, construire et coordonner l’offre de formation Exécutive d'UM6P Canada en collaboration avec les départements Recherche, Scientifique, Technique d’UM6P.

Responsabilités Clés :

En ligne avec les orientations et priorités d’UM6P Canada, le responsable du pôle Formation :

• Recueille et identifie les besoins, définit et propose la politique et les orientations stratégiques 
• Réalise l’ingénierie pédagogique et la conception des formations, ainsi que la recherche et l’identification des intervenants nécessaires à la diffusion des formations, en collaboration avec les départements Recherche, Scientifique, Technique de la société, notamment les écoles / masters et laboratoires de recherche d’UM6P ; valide les programmes avec les experts 
• Assure le pilotage complet du portefeuille de programmes de formation exécutive : pilotage du projet pédagogique des formations : planification, mise en œuvre, supervision de l’ensemble des étapes de gestion des formations, suivi et évaluation. 
• Développe des offres sur mesure en réalisant des analyses de besoins de formation auprès des clients d’UM6P Canada et le cas échéant en répondant à des appels d’offres. 
• Assure l’interface avec les clients.
• Elabore le P&L des projets et s’assure de la rentabilité financière des programmes 
• Elabore, planifie et gère le budget du pôle Education Exécutive et assure un reporting auprès de la direction générale. 
• Veille au respect des réglementations, gère la conduite des processus de certification (ISO 9001, QUALIOPI, …), réalise les bilans pédagogiques et financiers obligatoires. 
• Contribue à la communication et aux relations avec les institutions, les entreprises, pour développer la visibilité et notoriété d’UM6P Canada en tant qu’organisme de formation. 
• Représente UM6P Canada auprès des différents partenaires privés ou publics dans le domaine de la formation exécutive. 
• Exerce une veille active sur le monde de la formation : veille réglementaire, veille technologique (méthodes pédagogiques, outils d’animation…), veille concurrentielle.

Marché en devenir, la transition écologique, les enjeux climatiques et de réduction de GES vont avoir un impact massif sur le développement économique et social africain, les besoins de développement des compétences et de construction de viviers de talents dans les domaines l’agriculture, les mines, l’intelligence artificielle, l’énergie, le développement durable et le développement de l’Afrique en général. UM6P Canada veut devenir un acteur majeur sur les sujets de formation de talents. 

Finalités

Développer une offre de formation exécutive de haut niveau dans les domaines dans lesquels UM6P possède une expertise forte et différenciant en proposant les programmes nécessaires au développement en collaboration avec les différents départements de la société, notamment les écoles / masters et laboratoires de recherche d’UM6P et, le cas échéant en remportant des appels d’offre sur les domaines cités précédemment.

Profil recherché:    

• Etudes supérieures (Baccalauréat). 
• 5 ans minimum d’expérience professionnelle dans un ou plusieurs des domaines suivants : conduite de projet / Développement et gestion de programmes pédagogiques de formation continue dans un institut d’enseignement supérieur de premier plan, en cabinet de conseil ou dans un organisme de formation ; gestion de programmes de formation en entreprise
• Maîtrise de l’ingénierie de formation ; 
• Bonne connaissance de la législation de la formation et des dispositifs de certification
• Bonne connaissance des problématiques liées aux sujets d’expertise d’UM6P en lien avec le développement africain.
• Excellente connaissance du monde de l’enseignement supérieur et de la recherche au Canada.
• Excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles, avec la capacité de travailler efficacement avec divers intervenants. 
• Autonomie, rigueur, organisation, sens de l’anticipation, orientation résultat.
• Aisance relationnelle, management de projets transverses, capacité à appréhender les enjeux économiques et stratégiques.
• Maîtrise des outils et technologies de formation et de développement.
• Sens du service et esprit d’équipe très prononcé requis.
• Anglais et français courants.
