Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our climate change research team. The successful candidate will work on interdisciplinary projects aimed at understanding the impacts of climate change and developing adaptation and mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Research and Development: Conduct original research on the impacts of climate change, including the design and implementation of field projects, data analysis, and publication of results in high-level scientific journals.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with experts in climatology, ecology, social sciences, and other relevant disciplines to develop innovative and integrated solutions.
- Analysis and Modeling: Use climate modeling tools to evaluate the impacts of climate change on different ecosystems and societies.
- Communication and Dissemination: Prepare and present reports, scientific articles, and presentations for international conferences. Participate in workshops and seminars to disseminate research results.
- Project Management: Contribute to the management of research projects, including writing funding proposals, coordinating with partners, and monitoring budgets.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD: A PhD in climatology, environmental sciences, ecology, geography, or a related field.
- Experience in Climate Change: Strong experience in climate change research, demonstrated by relevant publications and research projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in climate modeling techniques, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and statistical analysis tools.
- Publications: A strong record of publications in international scientific journals.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Languages: Proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.
