The position is in the area of management accounting and control at the School of Business and Economics. Management accounting and control is a priority area at Linnaeus University with a large number of courses and study programmes at both master and bachelor level. The research environment, the Centre for Management Accounting Research (CMAR), is an active and growing research group consisting of a professor and almost ten other researchers in business process control. Research and active participation in the further development of the research environment is a priority.
Subject area of the position: Business Administration
Location: Kalmar or Växjö. Most work in the position is performed at the placement location, but some duties may also be performed elsewhere at the University.
Scope of the appointment:
The appointment is a fixed term appointment of 100 % for four years that can be changed into a permanent appointment as a senior lecturer via promotion, without the usual announcement of a vacant senior lectureship.
An associate senior lecturer shall be promoted to senior lecturer on application if they:
have the qualifications for an appointment as a senior lecturer; and
are judged in an assessment to be suitable for such an appointment according to the assessment criteria that the higher education institution has determined under Section 4 a, second paragraph shall be applied in a case concerning promotion to senior lecturer.
The main work duties are research and teaching at bachelor and master level in the area of management accounting and control. Teaching can, for example, consist of lectures, seminars, supervision and examination. The research share is 50 per cent. The holder is expected to participate in applications for external research funding and to cooperate with researchers and teachers in the area. Collaboration and interactive research involving both businesses and public organisations in the region are important parts of these activities. The holder of the position is also expected to participate in educational development work in the subject.
