The DistriNet research group is leading a new strategic basic research project focused on Blockchain and Local-first Software. Our mission? To empower our industry partners with the knowledge and tools to create better, more scalable, and more secure and sovereign decentralized applications.
As part of the project we will do research on Ethereum as well as next-generation blockchains such as the Internet Computer. We’re collaborating with Web3 companies (from startups to established players) in the region to make this vision a reality.

We are looking for a post-doc researcher with prior research experience and published results in the areas of Distributed Systems, Blockchain, Cloud or Web. Our ideal candidate is both an excellent researcher, deeply passionate about engineering secure and scalable distributed software, but also a teamplayer and coach to junior researchers. They can leverage their existing research expertise to advance new lines of research related to blockchain and decentralized systems. In addition, they can grow their research management skills by coaching others, identifying opportunities for collaboration with external research groups and industry partners and join collaborative e orts to attract and secure research funding. They can also lecture in specialist courses that match with their area of expertise in one of our Master-level education programs (Master in Computer Science, Master in Cybersecurity).
