Job description

Our research focuses on spatial proteomics and cell biology, bridging bioimaging and proteomics to explore fundamental aspects of human cell biology at the single-cell level. We use an antibody-based approach to systematically investigate how human proteins are distributed in both time and space, how variations in their localization contribute to cell type specificity, and how deviations in protein localization may lead to disease.

In this project, you will develop and apply cutting-edge tools and machine learning techniques to model spatial multi-omics data. The aim is to advance our understanding of protein dynamics at the single-cell level and contribute to the broader understanding of cellular processes. You will also use computational image analysis to study variations in protein spatiotemporal expression patterns in relation to the cell cycle and other deterministic factors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply innovative spatial omics techniques to analyze multi-omics mostly spatial proteomics data.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to model and interpret single-cell protein dynamics.
  • Conduct computational image analysis to study protein expression patterns and their relation to cellular processes.
  • Contribute to the publication of research findings in high-impact journals and present at conferences.

What we offer

  • A position at a leading technical university that generates knowledge and skills for a sustainable future.
  • Engaged and ambitious colleagues along with a creative, international and dynamic working environment
  • Work in Stockholm, in close proximity to nature
  • Help to relocate and get settled in Sweden and at KTH
  • A position within the rapidly growing field of spatial proteomics at Sweden’s largest infrastructure for Life Science
