Your mission

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher for investigating the pathobiology of the spinal cord scar and who is comfortable with single cell RNA sequencing analysis, bioinformatic analysis, and wet-lab work. As a Postdoctoral Researcher in our group, you will be head a world-unique project with clinical samples and perform data collection, data analysis, and manuscript writing. You may also be responsible for part of the supervision of master and doctoral students

Your profile

Applicants must fulfill the following criteria's:

  • A solid background in either neuroscience/neurotrauma or cellular and molecular biology/fibrosis with particular experience with research using single cell RNA sequencing analysis, bioinformatics, and wet-lab work.
  • Experience with various tissue analysis methods, such as in situ and immunohistochemistry, and microscopy.

The working language is English and you need to be proficient in both spoken and written English. You must have documented experience in both writing and presenting science in English. We also attach great importance to personal suitability. 

The following is meritorious:

  • Experience with in vivo research, including surgery, tracing, and pharmacological treatment.
  • Experience with in vitro research, including cell culture and viral work.
  • Experience of supervising students in a laboratory environment.

To be eligible for employment as a postdoctor a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed to be equivalent to a Swedish doctoral degree is required. This eligibility requirement must be fulfilled at the latest at the time of the employment decision. It is considered as an advantage if you have completed your doctoral degree within the last three years, if there are special reasons, your degree may have been completed earlier.
