You will be responsible to coordinate large consortia for projects focusing on silicon technology development in a variety of subjects such as Advanced Logic devices, Novel Memory devices, 3D packaging or Silicon Photonics, leveraging imec’s core expertise on advanced semiconductor research. You will be responsible for multiple projects as the coordinator of imec-owned tasks and in certain cases you will endorse the role of the consortium coordinator. You will be the primary imec technical representative in consortia (which could include universities, research institutes and industry partners) and you will also interface with the imec technical managers to ensure proper execution of the projects with respect to content, budget and timeline. You will also interface with imec partners to help the execution of the transversal projects

In this job, your main tasks will be:

  • You will coordinate the participation of imec experts to project meetings and the proper execution of the related tasks, leveraging your technical and management skills.
  • You will ensure that participation of imec staff in the projects is appropriately booked in imec’s time monitoring system and accurately reported for every project.
  • You will ensure that all costs, consumables, and wafer fabrication, are correctly booked in imec’s system for every project.
  • You will interface with the financial department to review financial reports and defend the report within the consortium and towards the project officer.
  • You will report internally the progress towards the project objectives to senior management, with respect to success criteria, timeline and budget. You will escalate what you cannot resolve with your peers. In case the project timeline, content, or budget cannot be met, you will negotiate changes within the consortium.
