At the Institute for Applied Research, the following position is to be filled on October 1, 2022 to strengthen our team:

Academic Staff (f/m/d)

(50% part-time)


  • Development of high-performance high-frequency / radar sensors for medical and industrial applications
  • Research into innovative approaches for detection of specific diseases or material properties using electromagnetic waves
  • Research into new application areas for high-frequency sensors, particularly in medical and industrial fields

Recruitment requirements:

  • University degree in electrical engineering or physics
  • Very good knowledge of high-frequency engineering and electronic circuits
  • Good knowledge in the field of high-frequency measurement technology (network and spectrum analyzer)
  • Experience with software for electromagnetic simulations (CST, HFSS, AWR or COMSOL) 
  • Experience with software for circuit simulation (Spice, Cadence or ADS) and for circuit layout design (KiCAD or Eagle)
