Job description

  • Conduct state of the art research in the area of public policy and administration, with a focus on policy learning within multilateral institutions (e.g., European Union Institutions, OECD, or other similar institutions).
  • Actively participate in doctoral schools, courses, seminars, local and international conferences, as well as other activities as required to obtain a doctoral degree and in accordance with the regulations of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.
  • This research trajectory should result in a doctorate (PhD) within the planned period (48 months).

Job profile

  • You hold a master’s degree in public administration, public policy, public management or a related field.
  • You are able to effectively conduct research, write research papers, participate in conferences, seminars, and courses in English language (Knowledge of Dutch is a plus)
  • You are willing to learn different research methods (Qualitative, and quantitative).
  • You are a team player with the ability to collaborate with colleagues in an open, dynamic and respectful manner.
  • You are able to work independently when needed and are self-motivated.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU

  • We offer a full-time position as a doctoral fellow, consisting of an initial period of 12 months, which - after a positive evaluation, will be extended to a total maximum of 48 months.
  • Your contract will start on 01/01/2025 at the earliest.
  • The fellowship amount is 100% of the net salary of an AAP member in equal family circumstances. The individual fellowship amount is determined by the Department of Personnel and Organization based on family status and seniority. A grant that meets the conditions and criteria of the regulations for doctoral fellowships is considered free of personal income tax. Click here for more information about our salary scales
