Organic layers that emit light are the basis for organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs). In such a light emitting thin film also interference effects and waveguiding takes place. In this project we want to investigate and enhance these phenomena to harvest emission in particular directions. The project involves technology of thin film deposition, electrical driving, photoluminescent excitation, electro-optical measurements and numerical simulations.
