Description of the research activity:
The research project is part of a larger European Social Fund Plus project aimed at promoting scientific research to support the economic and social development of South Tyrol (project code: ESF2_f3_0005). While AI excels at automating certain tasks, it lacks the nuanced human judgement and creativity required to comprehend broader contexts, understand intricate business logic, and make subjective decisions in software development. The work of this project aims to understand the AI’s ability to generate code snippets based on patterns and the construction of AI-based software systems. To this aim, the research assistant will develop tools and techniques to implement AI-generated software and will evaluate its quality, such as particular reliability and security. To develop the work, the research assistant will leverage prompt engineering and a taxonomy to interact with AI pre-trained models.
The Free University of Bozen/Bolzano was founded on 31 October 1997 as a multilingual, internationally oriented institution.
