We are looking to fill the following position in Faculty 2: Computer Science and Engineering as soon as possible:

Is your passion collecting and analysing datasets, optimizing and developing industrial applications based on them, and creating service-oriented business models? Do you also share this knowledge with enthusiasm to new talents in a practical manner? Your tasks:

  • You will give lectures on the topic of "Development of Data-Driven Business Models" (e. g., integrated product-service systems) as well as in foundational subjects of our technically-oriented bachelor's and master's programs in both German and English.
  • You will supervise our students in project and thesis work.
  • You will engage in applied and interdisciplinary research on the aforementioned topic and initiate/maintain collaborations with practical partners domestically and internationally.
  • You will work closely with colleagues from product development, computer science, and industrial engineering.

Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed a university degree in industrial engineering or have relevant professional experience and ideally hold a Ph.D. in the field to be represented.
  • You can demonstrate several years (at least 5 years) of professional experience and expertise in data-driven business models using digital technologies and platforms in industrial applications.
  • Your experience can be described, in addition to the above-mentioned keywords, with:
  • Intrapreneurship / Innovation Management / Smart Manufacturing / Hybrid Service Bundles / Smart Services and Operation Schemes
  • You are committed, team-oriented, and enjoy interdisciplinary, diversity-sensitive work in teaching and research, as well as having an entrepreneurial spirit.

The position is available for an unlimited period of time. When first appointed to a professorship, employment is initially on a probationary civil service basis or on a permanent employment basis with a three-year probationary period.
