A position for a research technician (100%) is available at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biophysics at ETH Zürich/Hönggerberg (starting immediately or by arrangement).
You will be part of a dynamic and competitive research group involved in the structural and functional investigation of membrane proteins catalyzing transport processes or protein N-glycosylation.
Your time will mainly be dedicated to scientific projects. You will be trained and integrated into our research team and support projects by collaborating with a postdoctoral researcher. Tasks include molecular biology work, growth and maintenance of cell cultures (bacterial, yeast, insect, and mammalian cells), and protein biochemistry.
Ideally, you either have a Master or Bachelor degree (University / ETH or Fachhochschule) or are a trained research technician (Biologie-, Biochemie- or Chemielaborant/in) with significant laboratory experience in biology or biochemistry.
You are expected to be well organized and highly motivated. You should have good communication skills and an eagerness to learn new techniques. You should work well with others and be a team player. Excellent knowledge of English is required and a good command of German is beneficial.
