Position Description:
The Department of Dermatology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) invites applications for the Associate Research Scientist position within our Basic Science Research Group.
Responsibilities:
Candidates should possess robust scientific and postdoctoral experience. Key responsibilities include running an independent research program, mentoring graduate students and postdocs, and actively participating in all departmental and program activities. Current research interests within the department include, but are not limited to: skin immunology, tissue engineering, cell and gene therapies, epidermal differentiation, skin stem cells, signal transduction, skin cancer (both non-melanoma and melanoma), mouse models of skin cancer, immuno-oncology, complex organotypic skin modeling, and autoimmune/autoinflammatory and inherited skin diseases such as alopecia areata, epidermolysis bullosa, hidradenitis suppurativa, pemphigus and atopic dermatitis.
