Contexte

The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of five Swiss university hospitals. Through its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at the University of Lausanne and the EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the areas of medical care, medical research, and training.

The Lausanne Center for Immuno-oncology Toxicities (LCIT) is an innovative and pioneering clinical immunology platform that seeks to improve the understanding and resolution of adverse events induced by cancer immunotherapies. The team headed by Dr. Michel Obeid has a fully funded postdoctoral position (2 years with possibility of renewable contracts) to investigate novel biomarkers involved with the toxicity and efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors in cancer therapy.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team focused on translational immunology research on large cohort studies of oncology patients in collaboration with the Service of Immunology and Allergy and the Translational Data Science group.

Mission

  • You will plan, propose, and conduct research experiments
  • You will participate in meetings with investigators and collaborators to validate data, develop methodologies, and evaluate laboratory procedures
  • You will ensure the reliability of the results generated
  • You will manage research projects
  • You will prepare manuscripts for scientific publications.

Profil

  • PhD in immunology (or closely related field in translational/clinical research)
  • Experience with flow/ mass cytometry and immunoassays
  • Experience with high dimensional cytometry data analysis in Flowjo/R and/or clinical data analysis is highly preferred
  • Exhibits excellent collaborative and communication skills for working in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
