Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting

This position will report directly to the Dean of the College of Business.

Requirements:

 We are an all-English teaching university and a terminal Ph.D. or D.B.A or ABD (with degree completion date of January 2020) in accounting will be considered. The degree granting institution will preferably be from an all English and accredited institution from the United States.   

However, a terminal degree from another reputable accredited international institutions will be considered if English is the primary teaching language like, Great Britain, South Africa, and/or Ireland.  A minimum of two years teaching as Assistant Professor and/or six years’ experience as a ranked Associate Professor is required.  Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience in addition to academic credentials. The business professional must have a strong commitment to teaching undergraduates; as well as advising, mentoring, and supervising undergraduate research/internships 

Responsibilities:

include teaching 12 credits per semester at upper-level and later graduate courses. Teaching Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, and Advanced Accounting. Tax Experience and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is highly preferred. Research, advising, and community service are also required.   

Our institution is a new start-up University that will provide undergraduate and, later, graduate level public accounting courses that is designed to meet the 150-hour requirement necessary for the United States Certified Public Accounting examination. While some of our graduates find employment public accounting, instruction is directed toward public and private-sector employment.
