We invite applications and nominations for a position of:

Chemistry Lab Assistant/ Technician Full-Time Position

This position will report directly to the Dean of College of Arts and Sciences.

Job Description:

  1. Set up equipment and material for chemistry lab courses, as per faculty members instructions. 
  2. Prepare and maintain documentation of lab inventory of equipment, materials, and supplies.
  3. Arrange purchase orders for lab material and supplies, and lab budget. 
  4. Prepare and maintain documentation of all lab protocols and procedures, and safety rules. 
  5. Attend technical and lab safety training as deemed necessary. 

Experience, Skills, And Educational Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from a reputable college/ university. Master’s degree is a plus. 
  2. Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience after graduation. Work experience in a college/ university is a plus.  
  3. Familiarity with lab safety rules and standard operating procedures. 
  4. Ability to work and coordinate with faculty and other lab staff as member of a team. 
  5. Strong computer skills, English communication skills, and good time management skills.
