Salary (gross, in € /month): 2 466,38 € or 2 891,12 € according to the level of experience

We seek to employ a: Postdoctoral researcher in geoarchaeology of southwest Iran
(CDD %100) in the frame of an international project entitled: “AQUA-IGNIS: The First City of the Last Empire: The palaeoenvironment of the Sasanian circular city of Gur (Firuzabad, Fars, Iran)”. This project has received funding from the Initiative of Excellence of Aix-Marseille Université (A*Midex) following a call for projects and an international high-level independent evaluation.
The post-doc will be based at the Institut Méditerranéen de Biodiversité et d’Ecologie (IMBE) (https://www.imbe.fr/) and will work in close collaboration with the research team of Laboratoire de l’Archéologie Médiévale et Moderne en Méditerranéen (LA3M) (www.la3m.cnrs.fr ). Both research units are located at Aix-en-Provence (France); they are the two host laboratories of the project. The position is under contract of Aix-Marseille Université, and funded by A*Midex.
