AIT’s Integrated Digital Urban Planning team focuses on researching and applying innovative tools and methods for the computational design of resilient and sustainable cities in an interdisciplinary manner.
Together with a team of experts you are pioneering new ways to develop and apply novel computational urban design approaches in an international project environment.
Your work will be driven by AIT’s computational urban planning workflow design within the framework of the City Intelligence Lab and you identify relevant trends and translate them into research strategies.
You enlarge the professional cooperation network of the organization and support the acquisition of new projects through communication with existing partners and actively approaching new partners.
Engage
As an experienced urbanist, you are the driving force for creating new workflows with computational models (e.g., parametric approaches for the rapid generation of design variants) and applying them in complex urban planning projects.
You use your practical knowledge and planning experience to synthesize various urban design concepts through the use and development of computational models and workflows.
You are responsible for acquiring and managing international urban planning projects, lead interdisciplinary project teams and communicate with customers for developing new services and tools.
Achieve
You successfully acquire, develop, and lead relevant projects with clients and achieve a real impact by assisting urban design and planning with novel digital techniques for the urban development practice of the future.
You work together with a team of experts to develop/evaluate urban designs based on computational models and digital workflows in the context of urban planning, energy, mobility, and climate.
In this role you become part of a well-established organization and international player in applied research for innovative urban design and planning solutions.

Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:
Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Spatial Planning, Urbanism, or related fields
Minimum of 10 years of professional experiences in international urban planning projects
Proven experience in biding processes including the writing of client proposals and project management
Familiarity with design computation tools like Grasshopper for Rhino3D (knowledge in GIS would be an advantage)
Very good English language and presentation skills are essential, German language skills are an asset
What to expect: gross annual salary according to the collective agreement amounts to at least EUR 61.614,-- as a basis and is supplemented by further, variable salary components. The actual total salary package is determined individually according to your qualifications and experience.
