Junior Scientist (m/f/d) for Power Electronics in Electric Energy Systems

Together with our team Power Electronigs & System Components you will work on state of the art power conversion solutions for a smart, safe and reliable future electric power grid and the integration of renewable energy generation and storage.
Being part of our international expert team, you will support our colleagues in defining and developing novel conversion concepts for PV, electrical vehicle charging, hydrogen in low and medium voltage applications.
We offer a state of the art research environment with our modern research and testing laboratory infrastructure, such as the Power Electronics Laboratory.
Engage
Together with your team, you will learn to work on the development of power electronics system design (focus on converters), prototype manufacturing, testing, and validation.
Throughout the workflow development of novel hardware and software design you will explore the use of artificial intelligence (AI) methods. for intelligent and efficient energy conversion.
With the support of your colleagues, you will learn to work independently on work-packages and smaller research projects and projects with industrial partners from all over Europe.
You will actively contribute to the definition of concepts, specifications, and procedures for the technical implementation of the project goals.
Achieve
With your innovative work you will help us to establish new methods and to design better and faster products for our industry partners in the power electronics field.
You will disseminate your results and findings in scientific literature and will contribute to the success of our current and future research projects.
Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:
Master’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering, technical physics, in mechanical engineering
Very good knowledge in power electronics, first experience in this field would be a plus
Good knowledge of and affinity to artificial intelligence applications
Analytical thinking
Very good communication skills in English
What to expect:
The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective agreement is EUR 49.280,--. The actual salary will be determined individually, based on your qualifications and experience. In addition, we offer company benefits, flexible working conditions, individual training, and career opportunities.
