This position is offered in the context of a multi-disciplinary programme financed by AMIDEX.
The project aims to characterize molecular pathways deregulated in hematopoietic disorder development and to define predictive factors of disease evolution. The position requires work on NGS projects with genome-wide data from mouse models, which recapitulate physiological and pathological aging with a focus on hematopoietic stem cell (HSC)/stromal cell cross-talk evolution.
The successful applicant will work at the Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie de Marseille (http://crcm.marseille.inserm.fr/en/).
He/she will integrate in the lab of Dr. E. Duprez (http://crcm.marseille.inserm.fr/en/researchteams/estelleduprez/) who develops epigenomics to understand normal and malignant Hematopoiesis, and will work in close collaboration with the lab of M. Aurrand-Lions (http://http://crcm.marseille.inserm.fr/en/researchteams/michel-aurrand-lions/) who is working on Leuko/Stromal interactions.
The applicant will:
-Be in charge of the analyses of NGS data generated from ChIP-seq, RNA-seq in bulk and at single cell level collected form the mouse models.
-Use and customise bioinformatics pipelines already implemented at the Centre for sequencing data analysis.
-Participate in group meetings and present work to biologists and bioinformaticians
-Provide advice and expertise in bioinformatics with biologists from the teams
The applicant should have an advanced university degree (Master or PhD) in Biology or Computational Biology. He/she should have skills in programming/scripting and/or bioinformatics (for X-seq data processing) and a previous experience in analysis of sequencing data and in visualisation tools.
Good knowledge of genomics and cancer biology will be an asset as well as good communication and interacting skills
Contract for 1 year, renewable once.
Starting date: as soon as possible.
