Your heart beats for business informatics and digital transformation as the driving force behind innovation and progress. At the same time, you want to pass on this enthusiasm and knowledge in this field to students. Then join our team and prepare young talents both theoretically and practically for a sustainable and future-oriented development of companies.

Your tasks in detail:

  • Representing the field of "Digital Transformation" in the Bachelor's and Master's programs of Business Informatics in both German and English, focusing on:
    • Digital platforms and integration technologies (e.g., process control or service-oriented architecture)
    • Implementation of digital transformation in companies (change management, process manage­ment, it management
  • Supervising student projects and thesis work in the field of expertise.
  • Networking with regional and international cooperation partners and conducting research projects.

Your profile:

  • You hold a relevant university degree and a qualified doctorate in the field.
  • You have at least five years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of three years outside of academia.
  • You have experience in process and change management (e.g., Six Sigma and Lean Management), as well as in the implementation and operation of digital platforms.
  • You possess team spirit and are willing to contribute to teaching and research in an open, dynamic university environment.

Furthermore, the following skills are desirable:

  • Initial teaching experience, for example through teaching assignments or didactic training.
  • Professional experience with service-oriented architectures (e.g., Enterprise Service Bus, service orchestration, or microservices) or process automation (e.g., workflow management).
  • Experience in acquiring and successfully conducting third-party funded research projects.
  • Willingness to supervise doctoral projects and to participate in the Applied Computer Science Doctoral Centre at the university.

The position is available indefinitely. Upon the initial appointment to a professorship, employment will initially be in a probationary civil servant relationship or in an indefinite employment relationship with a three-year probationary period.
